MANSFIELD-ET-PONTEFRACT — A recently opened wellness centre in Mansfield turned its first community open house into a fundraiser for Bouffe Pontiac on Sept. 27, bringing residents and local vendors together in support of the regional food bank.

Spa Harmonie Haven, at 319 rue Principale, welcomed visitors to tour the centre, meet its practitioners and learn about the services offered at the new business.

Owner and aesthetician Christine Landry and her partner, Reiki master Normand Beaupré, told the Journal they opened the centre about two months ago with the aim of creating a local space focused on wellness, relaxation and personal care.

During the open house, the pair guided visitors through the studios and demonstrated some of the centre’s equipment, including an infrared sauna and NeuroSpa system used for relaxation and wellness sessions.

“Our services are open-ended and tailored to individual preferences as well as their needs,” Landry told the Journal.

The centre also offers full-body massages, AromaTouch treatments, facials, nail care, sauna therapy and Reiki.

Local vendors took part in the open house, displaying and selling their products as residents moved between vendor tables after visiting treatment spaces. Profits from vendor sales at the event were designated for Bouffe Pontiac.

For Landry and Beaupré, the event provided an opportunity to introduce their new business to the community while supporting an organization that provides food assistance to residents across the Pontiac.
