Spooktacular magic in Bryson

BRYSON – There was magic in the air at the Bryson Lions Club, October 20, as some 100 children and adults watched the illusions of Chris Pillsworth, an Ottawa-based magician who has traveled across Canada and the world.
Pillsworth, who bills himself an ‘Amazement Expert’, lived up to the title by entertaining the crowd with magic tricks. Pillsworth has been entertaining children since he was a child himself. At age 11, he gave his first performance at a friend’s sister’s birthday party. He has twice been voted Magician of the Year by the Ottawa Society of Magicians and recently returned from a 6-city tour in China, where he gave 10 performances, lectures, and workshops to magic clubs.
The event, organized by the Bryson Recreation Association, is just one of many held this year. The show ended with loud cheers and applause before the kids all received goody bags.
