I wholeheartedly agree with Ms. Herbert’s assessment of the situation in Gaza, as expressed in her letter “It’s time for Canada to act on Gaza famine” (May 21, 2025). I agree about our responsibility as citizens and with Ms. Herbert’s call for our federal MP, Sophie Chatel, to take meaningful action—beyond mere “thoughts and prayers”—to help end the genocide of the Palestinian people.
We cannot pretend we don’t know what’s happening; it’s being livestreamed to all our devices.
