I agree with everything about swimming and health; my aunt lived closed to 100 and she swam regularly. The only thing I disagree with is the Fort-Coulonge location picked for the pool. I am a resident of Ladysmith/Thorne. For me, over 40 kms to drive to enjoy all that the pool offers does not make sense, especially in the winter. Not to mention the idea of driving on Hwy 148. I would think that residents of Otter Lake and Shawville would agree with me. I am 63 years old right now and have made the decision to quit driving at 80, like my father did. These decisions are difficult, but necessary. In my opinion, Campbell’s Bay would have been a better location for all residents. Now if I lived in Fort-Coulonge, of course I would be thrilled.
