CAMPBELL’S BAY – In recent months, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has recovered
several items that they believe may have been stolen from residents of Mansfield
and Fort-Coulonge.
The specific type of items has not been disclosed. “Those who have experienced a loss will likely know if something is missing, whether from their shed or property,” said Marc Tessier, an SQ officer and media relations representative.
“We are asking the public to check if they are missing anything […] we have some items at the Campbell’s Bay station. People can call us and provide a description of their missing item or send us a photo,” Tessier added. “If there’s a match, we will return the item to its rightful owner.”
To date, no suspects have been identified, and the investigation is ongoing. However, the police investigation has not yet linked any items to confirmed thefts.
If you have relevant information about the investigation or have lost an item, please contact the SQ at Campbell’s Bay by calling 819-648-2141 or visit the station at 1320 Route 148.
