The Municipality of Mansfield-et-Pontefract was in the city news: LeDroit, Aug. 21, [and in this Journal, pg. 7], investigating charges of mismanagement in the municipal office, especially around a garbage contract. The municipalities may all be re-negotiating their waste-handling contracts now – a great opportunity to reward one’s supporters and family
members; at least that’s common in other regions – but this seems to me to be dramatic reporting for LeDroit – what’s new here? Municipal hanky-panky, Ha, Ha! Not around here, right?
I pay my taxes to this charade, because I’m tired of arguing.
