No seniors’ discount from Xplornet!

I would like to know why the service for Fibre internet was given to Xplore internet instead of Bell or Cogeco. Xplornet does not have a seniors’ discount, whereas Bell and Cogeco do.

There are also several other companies Canada wide such as Access Communications, CCAP, Hay Communi-cations, Mornington, Novus, Rogers, SaskTel, Shaw, Tbaytel, Telus, Vidéotron, and Westman Communications that are participating in the program.

I’m stuck with Xplornet and they’re a rip-off. They won’t even bring the fibre cable to my house without me signing up with them. They’re cheapest plan is Fibre 100 (100 mbps) starting at $74.99 a month with a 1-year contract. Cogeco which is servicing the Quyon area has a plan called UltraFibre 120 unlimited (120 mbps) for $52 a month with a 2-year contract. Bell which is servicing Chapeau area has Gigabit Fibe 1.5 (1.5 Mbps) plan for $60 a month with a 2-year contract, and, as stated earlier, both of these providers offer a seniors’ discount.

This wasn’t well thought out when the contract was given to Xplornet. Now I’m still stuck with Xplornet with higher prices and no senior discount. Something should be done about this; it’s not right.
