A GREAT DAY TO RUN THE BACK ROADS – The 35th Annual Quyon Lionettes Car Rally on Saturday, October 14, was a resounding success with 41 cars and a beautiful sunny day to drive the back roads of Quyon and Beachgrove while answering questions from clues. This year’s theme was Candyland with questions and clues on every sort of candy imaginable; the clues were prepared by last year’s winners Brad Cull, Karen Cull, Nicole Belaire and Shannon Johnston.
After completing the rally the 176 participants enjoyed a spaghetti supper with ceasar salad and cake at the Quyon Community Center. There were door prizes donated by local sponsors and a 50/50 draw won by Peyton Ireland. This year’s winners were Kayla Morin, Keith Dubeau, Mallory Peck and Jaret Peck who won 4 Senators tickets and who will also be the lucky ones to organize next year’s car rally.
