SHAWVILLE-CLARENDON LIBRARY RECEIVES AWARD
The Shawville-Clarendon Library received an award from Reseau Biblio de l’Outaouais, June 8, in the category for libraries serving less than 1,200 citizens. The award acknowledges excellence in developing the local collection, digital and online services, presentation, promotion and facility layout.
The library is supported and maintained by the municipalities of Shawville and Clarendon; both mayors attended a ceremony acknowledging their support on June 19. Shawville Mayor Bill McCleary and Clarendon Mayor Ed Walsh congratulated Head Librarian Heather Sly and Assistant Librarian Ruth Potter on receiving the award.
