St. Joseph’s Manor BBQ fundraiser

CAMPBELL’S BAY – The combination of a cool breeze and warm sunshine made for a perfect day at Friends of St. Joseph’s Manor in Campbell’s Bay, Saturday, June 15. Residents, along with friends, family and neighbours, enjoyed the opportunity to share a meal and socialize on the grounds. The event was a fundraiser for the facility and included a raffle for two beautiful Adirondack chairs with a small end table. The set was won by Nancy Elliot of Shawville, a long-time volunteer and supporter of the Manor. The facility’s General Manager, Colleen Larivière, noted that Ms. Elliot had recently donated a painting to another Manor fundraiser, so it seemed appropriate for her to win the raffle. A crew of volunteers were kept busy grilling and serving hamburgers and hotdogs to a steady stream of visitors and residents. The duo of Robert Wills on guitar and singing and Nikki Buechler on violin provided live entertainment.
