Canadians need to understand Pierre Poilievre’s relationship with Elon Musk—and his connection to Donald Trump.
Why did Musk endorse Poilievre as a candidate for Prime Minister? What policies does Poilievre support that attracted Musk’s endorsement?
Is Musk’s support linked to Poilievre’s refusal to obtain a security clearance? Is his resistance to a CSIS check an attempt to hide something? Without clear answers, the public is left to speculate.
I cannot imagine Musk endorsing Mark Carney or Chrystia Freeland.
So why, exactly, does Musk endorse Poilievre?
I want CBC/Radio-Canada or other
credible journalists to investigate this endorsement, as well as what Poilievre might be hiding. Better yet, Poilievre should
obtain a security clearance before the federal election campaign begins.
I cannot imagine voting for someone endorsed by Elon Musk.
Nor can I support a potential Prime Minister who believes they are above the need for
a security clearance, especially when so many Canadians must obtain one to work in
public service.
Canadians deserve to know what Musk sees in the leader of the opposition.
I suspect many Conservatives would prefer a different leader. Are they comfortable with Musk’s endorsement? Are they at ease with their leader refusing a security clearance while aspiring to be Prime Minister?
And who knows—there may still be time for a Conservative leadership race before the next federal election.
